This guy finished college in 2.5 years and had to choose between a Rhodes scholarship to study at Oxford and entering the NFL, where he was expected to be a top round pick.

He chose Oxford.

Not only that, he wants to open a clinic in the Bahamas after getting his M.D.

People like that make me almost believe that there is hope for the universe....

There's an article on Diablo Cody, who wrote the movie Juno, that popped up on my google news alerts because Duran is mentioned:

If Diablo Cody didn’t exist, chances are, some streetwise, wisecracking wiseass would have invented. Someone like Brook Busey, a wild child who got tired of the nine-to-five life and so became a stripper. And, on a whim, whilst driving through Cody, Wyoming listening to Duran Duran’s ‘El Diablo’, gave herself a new name.

The fact that the song is an Arcadia song, not Duran Duran, aside (I'm assuming the reporter didn't want to go through the extra words of explaining Arcadia so most people would understand who he meant), how cool is that?
