Summary: Why did Merlin have to wear those ceremonial robes?
Disclaimer: They're not mine. I just like to play with them. I'll give them back, BBC. Really.
Word Count: 100
Notes: Something that came to mind while I was watching 1.04 and supposed to be doing a dozen other things.
Merlin hadn't really needed to wear the ceremonial robes. Arthur had done it largely to needle him, and a little to amuse himself. Being able to look at Merlin in that ridiculous costume during the interminable feast would at least provide some distraction.
He hadn't counted on the rest though. Had not considered the fact that the rich red would make Merlin's skin glow. Most of all, he had not counted on the way seeing Merlin bearing Arthur's crest on his chest would make Arthur's own chest grow tight--not to mention his trousers.
It would be a long night.
